Theresa's Linville Birthday Bash 2021

9th November is Theresa's birthday! And NO I'm not divulging the year.
Theresa decided to follow James' lead and plan an event that involved a country location, fabulous pub, family and close friends, and cycling.
So many months in advance we sacrificed 4 days to savour the delights of the Linville Pub, cycling back and forth to Blackbutt and Toogooloowah. And then booked the entire top floor accomodation for everyone to join T to experience the weekend.
What a great weekend it was. Paul and Sue Myers joined us (very, very good friends of ours), James and Mary, Mary-Claire and Brian, Pat (sadly Camilla couldn't join us), Thomas and Katie, Lexy phoned in from London, and Mick and Fiona phoned in from Lonnie.
We rode from Linville to Blackbutt and return. The non-riders met us for coffee and cake in Blackbutt. Lunch and Dinner at the Linville Hotel. They took very good care of us. Then a camp fire out in the paddock at our van.
A fabulous weekend, thanks to everyone for sharing in the Bash.

No (Paul) this was NOT Theresa's birthday gift from me. This was a necessary 4wd investment for our mutual benefit.
VAN LOST A WHEEL... Phark
Sadly on the way home our van lost the left wheel.
Did not feel it.
None of the three cars following saw it.
Discovered we had lost a wheel when came into Kilcoy Showgrounds to empty the toilet cassettes.
One of the campers came over and VERY KINDLY drove me back 7km to find the wheel in a paddock!
RACQ just awesome. No trouble at all.
Still cannot figure out WHY the wheel came off.
Kratzmann have replaced both hubs, brakes and wheels.
Now tighten using a Torque Wrench with the Goldstream/Kratzmann recommended setting.
All wheel nuts fitted either with an Arrow Device OR marked to show any movement.
SIMPLY ONE OF THOSE THINGS! Phark :}:}
$1600 repair bill later we are back on the road.
