Our annual tour down under commenced January 14th with an overnight trip down to Temora to visit Theresa and family. And then off to Hahndorf via an overnight stay at a property in Nyarrin (great place, lots of room, very friendly hosts).

As always Adelaide is a fabulous mix of cycling out of Hahndorf, exploring, vineyards, fine restaurants and a very relaxing time at the caravan park (thanks heavens for the pool).
Great cycling. We kicked off with our ride up the Amy Gillet Bikeway. And then did lots of Lofty climbing variants, including the South East Freeway. We did Wilunga twice. On the first trip the council had closed the road to prepare for TDU. Thankfully they let us through and we had the hill to ourselves.
Had a derailleur failure on my last ride, thankfully was able to cruise downhill where Theresa collected me after making her way back to collect the Triton.
It is so good riding out of Hahndorf. In the heart of the hill climbing territory. Here's a sample of photos.
And videos.
And then there were restaurants and vineyards.
