Mick and Fiona suggested we join them for Festivale in Lonnie. So we didn't ride TDU in Adelaide this year, instead travelled to Lonnie and had a hell of a lot of fun!!!
Lonnie is a favorite destination. There is the "shed" hosted by Fiona and Mick, wild night of Bundy, Pool, chatting about lots of stuff, great music. Wonderful.
Festivale was from Friday to Sunday. Great venue. Lots of food and alcohol vendors. Lots of space to set up chairs and listen to music. Outstanding entertainment.
Sadly, I caught COVID. Didn't know it as only had a runny nose. No headache. No sore throat. Nada!!! The effect of good wine is apparent. BUT Theresa, Mick, Fiona and others suffered much worse than me. Sorry. Found out from a GP that COVID was rife in Launceston. Sigh.
But did not ruin our trip.
Fortunately, we had already booked to spend 5 days in Stanley. And that was where we recuperated. As always Stanley did not disappoint with its relaxing atmosphere, great views, we got food and wine delivered, the local pharmacist personally delivered COVID drugs.
Then we headed to Hobart via the lake district to do the 3 Capes walk.
Festivale was REALLY GOOD. Loved it. Great music over three days.
